How it works

Our facial age estimation uses AI to analyse facial characteristics and accurately determine an individual’s age. During the user’s short selfie video, our liveness anti-spoofing checks will work in the background to ensure a live person is operating the camera, protecting against the use of 2D images, masks or bots.

If an age estimation result is returned successfully, the user can continue their journey. If the user’s age cannot be determined, alternative verification methods will be offered.

Data captured

The user submits a selfie video, which is then securely sent to the Verifymy server using 256-bit encryption.

Anti-fraud checks

During the face scan, liveness (anti-spoofing) is in place to protect against the use of 2D images, masks or bots.

Accuracy checks

Once liveness is confirmed, the user’s facial images are analysed to estimate their age.
